A very busy month!
January is off to a good start. I have quite a few art projects I am working on, one of which is almost ready for a Juried International Online Art Competition the end of this month! Above is a photo of the painting I did for the competition. I named this artwork "Street Life". I so enjoyed painting this Indian fellow, what a proud man he looks to be. I would like to thank Gladys Shelton for the fabulous photo reference.
My next project is due by the end of February, it is a sketchbook that I can draw or paint in, whichever I choose to do. This one will be fun because the sketches that I draw can lead to a final painting that I can also send to the gallery along with my sketchbook. And if that wasn't enough I have two more competitions that I will enter in the next few months. Last year was monumentous for me. I entered three of my paintings into a Juried Art Competition at the Visual Arts Center last July, and they were all three accepted in the Exhibition at the Orange County Visual Arts Center. They were on display for the month of August and I could not have been prouder!
I also entered 7 paintings in a Online Juried International Art Competition and won 7 awards...three Special Merit Awards and four Special Recognized Artist Awards. Life is good and I am thankful for God's blessings everyday to be able to enjoy my passion.
